LABS PART 1

LABS PART 2

3 STEPS TO MAKING EASY LABS (Lactobacillus Acid Bacteria Serum)

Step1) Rice Wash – 2 cups of water to 2 cups of rice. Shake well in mason Jar for a minute or two until water becomes milky. Strain out Rice, and add breathable top to mason jar (napkins work great). Let sit in a warm place where it can collect Lactobacilli bacteria from the air (I put mine near the water heater).

Step2) Microbial multiplication – After 2 / 5 Days of Rice wash sitting out you will find a small layer of white mold that has formed on the top. This is Lactobacilli and they are hungry to repopulate. Add the rice wash to a 3 gallon bucket using a strainer to strain off the moldy top. Then add 1 Gallon of Organic Whole Milk. Place a breathable top on your bucket, or an Airlock for best results. Wait 7 / 10 days and your ready for the next step. By adding the bacteria to a rich source of lactose the lactobacilli multiply several 100 times over and the end result is a probiotic, microbial rich plant serum.

Step3) Lactic Acid Bacteria Extraction –  Add a simple strainer to the top of a clean food grade 5 gallon bucket and carefully pour the lactic acid into the bucket through the strainer in case any small pieces float up. You should now have a curd layer in the bottom of your fermentation bucket, and pure Lactic Acid Bacteria Serum in the bucket you poured into. (Store in refrigerator for up to 6 months or add 50 / 50 molasses and it can sit at room temp for up to 1 yr.
