MAKE YOUR OWN BOKASHI FERMENTED SOIL INOCULANT

12 Oz LABS

12 Oz Molasses

1 Gallon of Water

Mix together and use as your fermentation pour over.

1st - Take 4 inches of Carbon (Leaves, Peat Moss, Coco or other) Moisten carbon with lacto mix.

Pack the carbon down and do another 4" layer.

Repeat this process until your container is complely filled to within 3 inches of the top.

Fix a plastic bag to the top and fill the top 3 inches with water so that no air gets to your ferment to spoil it.

PRO TIP- Only add a little carbon at a time, then pack it down. Then add a bit more and pack it down. The goal here is to pack down the ingredients so there is no air space left. Squeeze all the oxygen out of the substrate (bran, leaves, peat moss, coco, other), so that fermentation can start immediately.

PRO TIP 2 - Leave as little airspace as possible above the substrate. If there is significant space in the container, I’m going to cover the top of the bokashi with a plastic bag and fill the bag with water. That will keep the top anaerobic.
